UPI spending

Know where your UPI money went

Type or say what you paid, like “240 uber on UPI”, or share a payment message into Dayline. It records the amount, the merchant, the category and, if you mention it, how you paid, and counts it against your monthly budget. It doesn’t read your SMS or connect to your bank.

For example: 380 swiggy on upi, 60 auto, 1,200 groceries at DMart

How it works

  1. Say it onceType one line after you pay, or tap the mic and say it. Several spends can go in the same line, or the whole day at night.
  2. Dayline sorts itEach spend becomes an expense with its amount, merchant and category. You check what Dayline picked out, then send.
  3. See where it wentThe Money screen shows today, the week and the month by category, against your monthly budget, with search by merchant, item or note. Export a CSV any time.

Why one line beats five apps

UPI made paying instant and keeping track harder: the history is split across your UPI apps, your bank and your cards, and none of it is sorted the way your month works. One line when you pay, or one at night for the whole day, gives you a single list in your own words.

Sharing a payment message

On Android, share the text of a payment message or receipt from any app into Dayline. It lands in the composer for you to check; nothing is logged until you send it.

Private by default

Only you can read your diary. Not us, not anyone. Encrypted on your device before they sync. We, Cloudflare and anyone with a database copy or backup see only locked data. We don’t have the keys. With Standard AI, an AI reads your words but doesn’t keep them. What end-to-end encryption covers here.

What it doesn’t do. Dayline doesn’t read your SMS, your bank account or your UPI app, so a payment you don’t tell it about isn’t counted. It never moves money. A bank-SMS source is shown as “coming soon” in the app; it isn’t available yet.

The command bar with “spent 240 on uber, then dal rice for lunch, feeling good” typed in, and the chips Dayline picked out: ₹240, Uber, Lunch, good.
