Budget
A monthly budget with a daily pace
Set a monthly budget once. Every spend you log counts against it, and Dayline shows what’s left and a daily pace: what’s left this month spread over the days left, today included. Your budget month can start on payday instead of the 1st.
For example: spent 450 on dinner with Priya
How it works
- Set it oncePick a monthly amount and, if you’re paid mid-month, the day your budget month starts.
- Log as you goEach spend you type or say counts against the month straight away.
- Check the paceMoney shows what’s left and the daily pace; Today shows the day’s spending against the budget. Turn on notifications for a budget alert.
How the daily pace is worked out
Pace is what’s left this budget month divided by the days left, including today, rounded down to the rupee, so it never promises more than is left. Overspend one day and the next days’ pace drops a little; spend less and it rises. It’s worked out on your device.
Why a daily number helps
A monthly total is easy to set and hard to feel on the 12th. A daily figure answers the question you actually have at the counter: can today take this?

Only you can read your diary. Not us, not anyone. Encrypted on your device before they sync. We, Cloudflare and anyone with a database copy or backup see only locked data. We don’t have the keys. With Standard AI, an AI reads your words but doesn’t keep them. What end-to-end encryption covers here.
What it doesn’t do. The budget counts only what you log in Dayline. It doesn’t connect to your bank, and it isn’t financial advice.
