Dayline Refund & Cancellation Policy
The plain summary
- Cancel any time in the app: the Support page (/support) › Cancel plan, then confirm. That's as many steps as subscribing. The plan doesn't renew, and you keep Plus until the end of the period you paid for.
- No surprise charges. Before each renewal charge on a card or UPI AutoPay, our payment processor Razorpay sends you a notice at least 24 hours before it, and we email you 7 days before a yearly plan renews.
- Refunds for anything we got wrong: write to support@dayline.online. Refunds go back to the card, UPI account or bank you paid with.
- Your data is never held back: reading, editing and exporting what you logged never needs a plan.
- During the beta Dayline is free for everyone, and subscribing is a way to support it early (Terms §2). These same rules apply to it: cancel any time, and if your subscription ends during the beta you're back on the free beta, not on Free.
1. What you buy
Dayline Plus is a subscription that renews automatically, monthly (₹349) or yearly (₹3,299), until you cancel. The plan screen shows the price, the renewal and the cancel path before you pay. While Dayline is in beta, everyone gets Plus features for free, so a subscription started then doesn't unlock extra features: it supports Dayline, keeps its price for as long as it keeps renewing, and carries on without a break when the beta ends (Terms §2). Payments are taken by Razorpay Software Private Limited on its own secure page; we never see your card or UPI details. Each payment gets a receipt or invoice from Razorpay, listed on the Support page (/support) › Invoices & receipts.
GST. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged and the prices above are the full amounts you pay. If we register, the plan screen and your invoices will show the GST included in the price, and we'll update this policy and the Terms before that applies to you.
2. Cancelling
- In the app: the Support page (/support) › Cancel plan, then confirm. Cancelling stops the next renewal and the renewal mandate. You keep Plus until the end of the current period, then your account moves to Free (or, while the beta lasts, back to the free beta). Nothing you logged is deleted. Your locked price ends with the subscription: if you subscribe again later, the price at that time applies.
- You can also stop a UPI AutoPay mandate in your UPI app, or a card mandate through your bank. That ends the subscription the same way.
- A payment page you opened but didn't finish charges nothing; it expires on its own.
- Deleting your account cancels the plan at once. If you think you're owed a refund for the rest of the period, write to us before you delete it, so we can find the payment.
3. Renewals and failed payments
- Razorpay notifies you at least 24 hours before each renewal charge, as India's recurring-payment rules require, and you can cancel then. For a yearly plan we also email you 7 days before it renews.
- If a renewal payment fails, Razorpay retries it over the next few days and Plus stays on meanwhile. If every retry fails, the plan stops (you are not charged for that period) and you can subscribe again at any time, at the price at that time.
4. Refunds
- We refund in full a charge made after you cancelled, a duplicate charge, or a charge we made by mistake.
- We refund or credit fairly, for example the unused part of the period, if something we did stopped Dayline from working for you, if we remove something important from a plan you paid for, or if we close Dayline or your account without it being your fault (Terms §8 and §10).
- Otherwise the unused part of a period isn't refunded after you cancel, except where the law says otherwise. If you live in the EU or UK, you have the 14-day right of withdrawal described in the Terms (§6).
- How: write to support@dayline.online from your account's email address with the date and amount of the payment (or the payment id on your Razorpay receipt). We reply within 2 working days.
- When: we issue approved refunds through Razorpay within 7 days of approving them. They reach the card, UPI account or bank you paid with, usually within 5–7 working days after that, depending on your bank.
